This spring I have the most sun I've had in my yard ever. I had two of my huge trees trimmed and cut and now I have sunny spots in my very shady yard. It is wonderful! It is taking me a while to realize that I can now plant sunny plants, like roses, or anything now! It is wonderful.

Yesterday I did something that I'm afraid I'm going to regret. I scattered a lot of wildflower seeds in my main flower area. I'm so hoping that more than just weeds come up and that it will be a lot of different flowers not just one kind. I originally was going to put them out in my "sunny" spot, but I now have new plans for that spot. Anyway, I feel like I'm rediscovering my backyard and it is looking great!

My garden is also growing wonderfully. I have spinach and lettuce all ready to eat and even many little strawberries.

Luc is heading up stairs to wake up Joe. I should go.
Cindy

Stomach flu and rain

I have been taking care of a sick, throw-up, violent diarrhea, 19 month old little boy all week. My poor Lucie-Lou has been sick since Sunday. He is only a 25 lb. little guy, and he has lost over 2 lbs. He hasn't eaten in a few days. Tonight he had a few bites of a potato soup and that perked him up a bit.

I am thankful that I have been able to keep my joy this week and that has only been by the grace of God! When Luc threw up the first time it was on the changing table (he threw-up on his face-ugh!) and the next time was on the hardwood floor. In the midst of cleaning up Luc and trying to get his runny poop from getting more on him and throw-up not all over his head as I took his shirt off, I found myself thanking God that it didn't happen all over E and me on the sofa. I had been calling Luc over to joins E and me on the sofa to watch a video. I was just getting up to get him and wam! Throw up and diarrhea at once. Poor guy!

We all were supposed to go to Nana Jean's this weekend to see Amanda graduate from Sac State tomorrow. We were planning on leaving late tonight, but the Dr. says Luc is really contagious and he is so not well. He just lays on the couch or floor limp. E is disappointed. Joe and him might go up tomorrow for the day and night.

It's rainning this afternoon. I love that smell that the first rain makes. E and I went on a walk arround the block this afternoon while it was rainning. It wasn't hard rain, but it was enouph to enjoy. E and I skipped, sang about walking in the rain, and just had a great time together. That was good, because I feel like I have been hard on E these last few days. He woke Joe and I up two times last night to have a band-aid put on his arm! I said "You never wake up your Mom and Dad to have a band-aid put on at 2 or 4 am in the middle of the night!" Then he woke up really early (for me) around 6:45am and I told him he had to go back to bed until he saw the 6 turn to a 7. He was back in my bed at 7:01am. Anyway...my focus has been on Luc and sleep and it was really nice to go on a walk w/ him and sing in the rain.

Trying it out

I write in a journal. I have been ever since my parents gave me my first diary in my seventh year at Christmas. I started that moment. My first entry was a confession about how my Gram had been upset at me for disrupting our small church service the week before. Then it was filled w/ things like; "God is Great, good, wonderfully..." and "The time is 10:38 am. The time is now 10:40 am." Brilliant things like that.

So I have been drawn to bloggin' since I first noticed it a few years ago when my best friend started her own. My husband started one about a year ago and I love reading his, but he doesn't add new posts very often. I started to want to put posts on his, so I began to think maybe I could write my own.

Here is the big question for me: If I blog will I still take the time to journal? I like filling my journal w/ my own handwriting. So we will see. I'm going to just keep this blog quiet for now.

Disclaimer: If you are going to read this blog, please do not comment on my terrible spelling. I can't seem to get the spell checker working on my computer.
